Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Risk Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing planning and leadership to the Compliance Department, ensuring effective service and support to site operations departments and other functional areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of mine support functions in support of safe, productive operational delivery and maintaining licence to operate.
  • Maintenance and assurance of an effective site centralised Compliance Management System containing all Compliance-related standards, procedures and legal requirements.
  • Management of internal and external compliance verification processes.
  • Collaboration with SLT and other site and corporate peer groups.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of fifteen years of mining operational experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in one or more compliance-related field(s)
  • Knowledge of NSW Coal Mines Compliance requirements, including Health, Safety and Training, Environment and Water, Mine Operating Plans and Approvals
  • Experience in interacting with various NSW Government Regulatory Institutions
