Job Description

The primary goal of this role is to oversee mine support functions that encompass Health, Safety, Training, Environment, Biodiversity, Community, Property, Project Development, and Approvals.

This involves enhancing organisational efficiency by integrating cross-function support and consolidating common functions into single accountability roles where possible.

  • Maintaining and improving the site's centralised Compliance Management System, including standards, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Enhancing site risk management and training systems through continuous improvement.
  • Managing internal and external compliance verification processes.

The role requires oversight of the compliance calendar to align with site operations, monitoring industry and legal developments to ensure timely and compliant operational changes.

A key aspect of this position is maintaining collaborative relationships with SLT, other site teams, and corporate groups.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintaining a site-wide Compliance Management System, ensuring adherence to standards, procedures, and legal requirements.
  2. Developing and implementing strategies to enhance site risk management and training systems.
  3. Oversight of internal and external compliance verification processes.
  4. Collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with site operations and compliance with regulatory requirements.

This role offers a Monday to Friday roster, with one RDO per month. It supports a residential lifestyle in Mudgee or surrounding areas, offering work-life balance and a vibrant community.
