Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Operational Risk Manager to lead our site's risk management and compliance functions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats to operations.
  • Maintain and improve the site's Compliance Management System, ensuring seamless integration with organisational processes.
  • Enhance risk awareness through regular training programs and collaborative efforts with senior leadership team and other site teams.
  • Manage internal and external verification processes, guaranteeing timely compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversight of the operational compliance calendar to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and developments, implementing proactive measures to maintain compliance.
  • Maintenance of robust relationships with key stakeholders, including government institutions.
  • Collaborative contribution to project development through strategic engagement with cross-functional teams.

Lifestyle:

About You:

  • A minimum 15 years of mining operational experience, with a strong focus on risk management and compliance.
  • Prior qualifications in relevant fields such as law, finance, or environmental science would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with NSW Coal Mines Compliance requirements is essential.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with NSW Government Regulatory Institutions.
