**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead our Compliance Department, ensuring effective service and support to site operations.

The role involves fostering engagement with internal and external stakeholders, enhancing organisational efficiency through cross-function support integration, and maintaining the site's centralised Compliance Management System.

The ideal candidate will have extensive exposure to OC coal mining practices and management, as well as experience interacting with NSW Government Regulatory Institutions.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Leading mine support functions such as Health, Safety, Training, Environment, Biodiversity, Community, Property, Project Development, and Approvals.
  • Enhancing organisational efficiency through cross-function support integration and consolidating common functions into single accountability roles where possible.
  • Maintaining and improving the site's centralised Compliance Management System, including standards, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Continuously improving site risk management and training systems.
  • Managing internal and external compliance verification processes.
  • Overseeing the compliance calendar to align with site operations.
  • Monitoring industry and legal developments to ensure timely and compliant operational changes.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 15 years of mining operational experience.
  • Qualifications in compliance-related fields; mining, engineering, or related disciplines preferred.
  • NSW statutory mining qualifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of NSW Coal Mines Compliance requirements: Health, Safety, Training, Environment, Water, Mine Operating Plans, and Approvals.
