Maintenance Supervisor Role

About This Opportunity

  • This is a leadership position in which you will lead and mentor a multi-trade team to ensure site equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

As Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and motivating a team of Maintenance Technicians (fitters & electricians)
  • Implementing Preventive Maintenance programs
  • Coordinating responses to breakdowns and urgent repairs
  • Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and protocols
  • Managing contractor performance
  • Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated material handling systems
  • Maintaining accurate records through CMMS for proactive and reactive work
Key Responsibilities

Safety and Compliance

  • Promote and enforce safety procedures and protocols to minimize risk
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Team Leadership

  • Lead and motivate a team of Maintenance Technicians
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Operations Management

  • Coordinate responses to breakdowns and urgent repairs
  • Implement Preventive Maintenance programs to reduce downtime

Asset Management

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated material handling systems
  • Maintain accurate records through CMMS

Performance Management

  • Manage contractor performance
  • Evaluate team performance and provide feedback
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A degree in a related field (e.g. engineering, maintenance management)
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Strong technical knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
