About The Role

The Maintenance Equipment Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the maintenance and production teams by providing quality and efficient maintenance services during planned maintenance, breakdowns, reliability, and the deployment of new plant and machinery.

  • Maintaining, controlling, and diagnosing FMCG machinery such as high-speed fillers, mixers, conveyors, sensors, hydraulics, robotic machinery, and packaging machines.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical faults, production breakdowns, production start-ups, and operating settings using hydraulic & pneumatics.
  • Planned maintenance and using systems such as MEX.
  • Working with steam and/or gas appliances, preferred but not essential.
  • Identifying and participating in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
  • A stable Monday to Friday set roster with the possibility of overtime on alternating weekends.
About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • At least 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Fitter working in a 24/7 FMCG environment.
  • Experience in the areas of planned maintenance systems (MEX).
  • Steam or gas appliance experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Familiarity with automation and reliability focus.
  • Confined Space, Working at Heights, and EWP certification would be advantageous.
  • Show a great deal of initiative and be a strong advocate of teamwork.
