Electrical Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at Next Day Recruitment. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and repairing low-voltage electrical products, reading and following project-specific drawings, and working on a variety of electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and follow project-specific drawings and schematics.
- Electrical assembly of Main Switchboards, HV/LV Kiosks, Motor Control Centres, Distribution Boards, Communication Racks, and Protection Panels.
- Inspection, testing, wiring, cabling, electrical assembly, and commissioning of equipment.
- Use of power tools and equipment within the production plant.
- Communicate with project estimators and team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Working Hours and Pay:
- Monday to Thursday: 32 hours, 8-hour shifts, then time and a half for 3 hours, then double time.
- Fridays: 4 hours, then time and a half for 3 hours, then double time.
- Saturdays: time and a half for 3 hours, then double time.
- Rates: $30 to $40 per hour, full-time (sick pay, holiday pay full entitlements).
- 6 x 11 to 12 hour days worked = Fitters and Technicians earning $3000 + per week, $12k per month.
