We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to support our elderly clients in their daily lives.

This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors living in Melbourne's western suburbs, including Sunshine and surrounding areas. As a community assistant, you will provide basic domestic assistance and personal care support to enable them to remain living independently in their own homes.

The role involves assisting clients with daily tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, grooming, and showering. You will also accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities, promoting their overall well-being and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Domestic Assistance: Providing meal preparation and light cleaning services to support clients' daily needs.
  2. Personal Care: Assisting with grooming and showering tasks to maintain clients' personal hygiene and dignity.
  3. Community Access: Accompanying clients to medical appointments and social activities to promote their physical and emotional well-being.
  4. Task Support: Assisting clients with tasks and routines outlined by their healthcare professionals, ensuring their safety and independence.
  5. Rapport Building: Establishing positive relationships with clients and their families through effective communication and empathy.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification to ensure your ability to respond to emergencies.
  • An Australian Driver's Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle with comprehensive car insurance for safe transportation.
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification and experience, demonstrating your skills and knowledge in aged care.
  • Strong Communication Skills to build trust and rapport with clients and their families.
  • Passion for Aged Care and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of elderly Australians.
