Empowering Lives as a Developmental Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Developmental Educator to join our team at Everyday Independence, a leading provider of disability support services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live fulfilling and independent lives.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional care and support. As a Developmental Educator, you will work closely with participants, their families, and support teams to develop personalized plans that promote independence, social participation, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-based plans to support participants in achieving their goals
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide person-centered support and planning
- Build strong relationships with participants, their families, and support teams to facilitate effective communication and coordination
- Identify and address barriers to participation, using a social model approach to empower individuals to overcome challenges and achieve their potential
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor or Master's degree in Disability or a related field
- Eligibility for membership with the DEAI (Disability Educators Association of Australia)
- Strong advocacy skills, with a passion for removing barriers and promoting inclusion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check
- A valid driver's license
