We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Childcare Educator to join our team at Star of the Sea OSHC in Cleveland. As a permanent, part-time educator, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment for up to 45 children.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, enthusiastic about supporting the well-being, learning, and personal development of primary school-aged children, and committed to helping them grow in a happy and safe environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Coordinator to deliver high-quality, inclusive educational programs that foster active play, creativity, and social skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in program planning, delivery, and documentation to ensure a stimulating and engaging experience for children.
  • Roster and supervise staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Contribute to administration and financial management tasks, including fee collection, to ensure efficient service operations.
  • Provide exceptional care and support to children, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare's values and mission.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Children Services or equivalent qualification as per ACECQA guidelines.
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis certification.
  • Ability to act as the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the Coordinator.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework, and National Law/Regulations.
  • Experience in education and childcare, with effective computer skills, including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and manage teams.
