About the Role

You will have the opportunity to make a positive difference supporting people with disability to live the lives they choose. Our team works closely with individuals to implement personalised plans that address their unique needs and goals.

This role involves working one-on-one or in groups, in clients' homes and in the community, to support adults with disability. Your tasks may include:

  • Supporting clients to achieve their goals
  • Assisting with daily living and personal care needs, including meal preparation and personal hygiene
  • Transporting clients in your own vehicle

We are seeking passionate and dedicated professionals who share Yooralla's values and are committed to empowering our clients to reach their goals.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A positive approach, initiative and self-motivation
  • Effective communication skills, and good English literacy to communicate well with our clients
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team
  • Availability to work weekend shifts and during School Holiday periods
  • Meal assistance experience
  • BOC experience
  • Manual Handling experience
  • Willingness to swim
  • Working with Children's Check
  • Australian Driver License
  • The right to work in Australia
  • The ability to get a First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate if you don't already have one

A Certificate IV in Disability, relevant work experience or an interest in community services would be great, but we also provide excellent training and support for our staff.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly salary of around $35-$45 AUD per hour, depending on your qualifications and experience. You'll also have access to generous salary packaging benefits to increase your take home pay and reduce your taxable income.
