Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our dynamic Recovery Unit team at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network.

The successful candidate will provide essential support to the Nurse Unit Manager in the day-to-day management of the unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care. The role involves coordinating the unit's operations, working closely with staff to maintain clinical excellence, while supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in the planning and evaluation of care provision.

In the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager, you will step into a leadership role, ensuring the smooth and effective running of the unit. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of clinical practices and provide mentorship to nursing staff, helping to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Nurse Unit Manager in the day-to-day management of the unit
  • Coordinate the unit's operations, including maintaining clinical excellence
  • Support the Nurse Unit Manager in planning and evaluating care provision
  • Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical practices
  • Provide mentorship to nursing staff

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • A Registered Nurse qualification with at least 3 years' post-registration experience
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in supervising nursing staff
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare standards, legislative responsibilities, and quality improvement systems in the nursing context
