About the Role

As a Senior Clinical Educator - Registered Nurse with the University of South Australia, you will play a vital role in providing clinical education support to our Academic Unit's Horizon Hospital and Health Service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our students. With your extensive experience as a Registered Nurse, you will provide expert guidance and mentorship to help our students achieve their full potential.

You will work closely with our Clinical Academic Lead to develop and implement educational strategies that align with our university's vision and values. Your expertise will help shape the learning experiences of our students, equipping them with the skills and confidence to excel in their future careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver educational programs that meet the needs of our students and align with industry standards.
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to students, focusing on their clinical development and career progression.
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Academic Lead to develop and implement educational strategies that enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum content, ensuring it remains relevant and effective.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Nursing degree with significant current post-registration clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contemporary nursing practice, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Thorough understanding of the National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards, including their integration within clinical practice.
  • High-level organisational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret information and make recommendations to senior staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in liaison, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
