Senior Instrument & Electrical Designer Opportunity

Wood Plc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrument & Electrical Designer to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory. As part of our Operations APAC West business, you will be responsible for designing and implementing instrumentation and electrical systems for brownfields oil and gas projects.

About the Role:

  • Reporting directly to the I&E Design Manager, you will work as part of our core design team to deliver high-quality designs and solutions.
  • You will be responsible for interpreting and translating engineering concepts into practical designs, working collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals.
  • With a strong background in instrument design engineering, you will have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas Brownfields Engineering / EPCM sector.
  • You will possess excellent analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to manage varying tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A solutions mindset and ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team environment are essential for this role.

Requirements:

  • Suitably qualified in Instrument Design Engineering from a recognised institution.
  • Relevant Certificate or suitably qualified by industry experience.
  • Experience in E3D, SPI, SPEL and/or Navisworks Simulator is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to interpret and translate engineering concepts into practical designs.
  • Professional demeanour and interpersonal skills.
