Job Summary:

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrument and Electrical Designer to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory. As a key member of our Operations APAC West business, you will be responsible for designing and delivering brownfields oil and gas projects.

About the Role:

  • Act as the Instrument and Electrical Designer on brownfields oil and gas projects, taking ownership of discipline design commitments and requirements.
  • Ensure deliverables are consistently checked, accurate, and presentable.
  • Provide day-to-day services to the project, working collaboratively with the team.

Requirements:

  • Be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) and be able to work lawfully in Australia without company sponsorship.
  • Have a suitably qualified degree in Instrument Design Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Have a minimum of 8+ years of proven experience in the Oil and Gas Brownfields Engineering/EPCM sector.
  • Have relevant certifications or industry experience, with experience in E3D, SPI, SPEL, and/or Navisworks Simulator being advantageous.
  • Be able to interpret and translate engineering concepts into practical designs.
  • Have excellent communication, analytical, and numerical skills.
  • Be able to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities.
