Principal Instrument & Electrical Designer

Wood Plc is seeking a highly skilled Principal Instrument & Electrical Designer to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory.

As a key member of our Operations APAC West business, you will be responsible for designing and implementing instrumentation and control systems for brownfields oil & gas projects.

Reporting directly to the I&E Design Manager, you will work closely with our core design team to deliver high-quality designs that meet the needs of our clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing instrumentation and control systems for brownfields oil & gas projects
  • Collaborating with the design team to deliver high-quality designs
  • Interpreting and translating engineering concepts into practical designs
  • Leading and working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

Requirements:

  • Suitably qualified in Instrument Design Engineering from a recognised institution
  • Minimum of 12+ years of proven experience in the Oil & Gas Brownfields Engineering / EPCM sector
  • Relevant Certificate or suitably qualified by industry experience
  • Experience in E3D, SPI, SPEL and/or Navisworks Simulator is advantageous
