Instrumentation Designer Opportunity

Wood Plc is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Designer to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory.

We deliver brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the oil and gas sector, with long-term partnerships with prominent producers in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

As an Instrumentation Designer, you will work directly with our I&E Design Manager and be part of our core design team, responsible for designing Instrument & Control systems for brownfields oil & gas projects.

You will have access to our newly opened Darwin CBD office, as well as remote and flexible working options, purchased annual leave, and employee discount programs.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications in Instrument Design Engineering from a recognised institution
  • Minimum 12+ years of proven experience in the Oil & Gas Brownfields Engineering / EPCM sector
  • Experience in E3D, SPI, SPEL and/or Navisworks Simulator is advantageous
  • Ability to interpret and translate engineering concepts into practical designs
  • Professional demeanour and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Solutions mindset and ability to manage varying tasks with often changing priorities
