Around $150,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Description

As a Data Analytics Lead, you'll lead a team of data scientists and engineers to identify, design, develop, build, install, test and evaluate data science solutions to support the Wagardi mission system and user community. You'll demonstrate a proactive approach, understanding business needs and developing solutions to achieve company objectives.

  • Deliver real-world data science-based projects and services based on structured and unstructured data
  • Lead specialised teams in complex environments
  • Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts in data science and analytics, including AI/ML and LLMs
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research and devise innovative data analytics solutions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Hands-on proven commercial experience working directly with external customers and users to uncover, define, and deliver new data science-based products and solutions
  • AI/ML and LLM application expertise
  • Strong research, maths, stats, and/or programming background
  • Knowledge of technical principles, theories, and concepts in data science
  • Working with structured and unstructured data
  • Broad range of data technologies, such as Postgres, Azure, Hadoop, Cloudera
  • APIs
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring small teams (less than 10) of data scientists and engineers
