As a key member of our Chief Data Analytics Office, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how our team uses data to drive growth, client satisfaction, and business excellence.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, build, and deploy a metadata-driven, incrementally loading data lakehouse solution on AWS for international teams, driving data-driven decision-making and business outcomes.
  2. Support data quality and governance processes, developing maintainable, well-documented, and resilient code to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  3. Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team across Australia, Europe, and the US to ensure seamless data access and timely insights.
  4. Monitor, test, and report on data lake processes, working with the Product Owner to prioritize corrections and migrations to the new lakehouse.
  5. Contribute to the learning and development of our crew, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance data literacy and skills.
  6. Support leadership and management of the Data Engineering and Analytics Office teams, driving strategic initiatives and business outcomes.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Strong experience working in cloud-based engineering teams, preferably with AWS.
  • Experience leading teams, prioritizing effort, and focusing strategically and tactically.
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones, with a strong understanding of dimensional modeling and data vault experience a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of Python, SQL, and Spark environments, with a solid understanding of Git and version control systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs to system and software/data requirements.
  • Strong analysis and analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to work with complex systems and datasets.
