Leidos Australia is a leading provider of mission critical software solutions to the Federal Government. Our Intelligence business line develops and supports IT systems, including classified systems that cover a wide breadth of software engineering disciplines.

We are seeking an experienced Agile Software Engineer/Developer to join our team in Melbourne or Canberra. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing innovative software solutions to complex problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and integrating and deploying complex systems using SecDevOps practices.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Agile, Scrum, and associated methodologies, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering. They will also have proven experience tackling and solving challenging engineering problems, experience within an agile development team, and demonstrated experience or exposure to integration with external systems, open source technologies, CI/CD tools, Java, containerisation, Linux, and Windows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative software solutions to complex problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Integrate and deploy complex systems using SecDevOps practices
  • Participate in agile story mapping and estimation, and lead or contribute to customer demonstrations and engagement activities
  • Have the opportunity to lead or contribute to business development responses and innovation initiatives

Requirements:

  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, and associated methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience tackling and solving challenging engineering problems
  • Experience within an agile development team
  • Demonstrated experience or exposure to integration with external systems, open source technologies, CI/CD tools, Java, containerisation, Linux, and Windows

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
