You will work alongside a collaborative network of service providers across the Batemans Bay, Bega, Queanbeyan, and Goulburn regions, offering vital intake and referral services. Your work will ensure that families receive timely and effective support, empowering them to resolve challenges and thrive. With a focus on early intervention and prevention, this role allows you to make a meaningful impact while working in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. Whether through in-person support or outreach, every day brings new opportunities to make a positive and lasting change in the lives of those who need it most.

**This is an ongoing Part-time opportunity 3 days a week (0.6 FTE) based in Batemans Bay within our Out of Home Care (OOHC) Program. The position reports to the Family Connect and Support - Team Leader**

**What You’ll Do**:

- Ensure that vulnerable children, young people and families receive services that meet their needs.
- Use a child-centred and family-focused approach to identify strengths, needs, risks and protective factors.
- Establish collaborative relationships with a wide range of specialist and mainstream services to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.
- Work collaboratively with Statutory Bodies and support services across the area to improve linkages and develop integrated service responses.

You have a strong understanding of child wellbeing and the importance of early intervention, and you are driven by the desire to help families access the support they need to overcome challenges. With excellent communication skills, you can build trust with families and work collaboratively with a diverse range of service providers.

You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and can manage a caseload with sensitivity and professionalism. You are proactive and resourceful, always looking for creative solutions to meet the unique needs of each family. Your ability to adapt and work in outreach settings is key to your success, and you are passionate about fostering positive, nurturing environments where children and young people can thrive. Most importantly, you are committed to empowering families and making a lasting impact on their lives.

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Provide intake, referral and case coordination services that meet the needs of vulnerable children, young people and their families.
- Provide services that are culturally competent and responsive to the needs of vulnerable Aboriginal and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) families.
- Manage a case load and ensure that individual targets are met;
- Ensure client records are maintained utilising the client management system and ensure that data is collected, entered and reviewed.
- Provide feedback to referrers.
