We are seeking a skilled Family Support Specialist to deliver playgroup sessions and provide outreach support for families in the region.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children and families attending our playgroup program. They will also promote the benefits of early childhood social development, building community connections, and improving access through practical supports such as transport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm, inclusive, and safe space for children and their families to play and connect.
- Coordinate and deliver engaging activities aligned with the playgroup program's goals.
- Promote the benefits of participation through community engagement and outreach.
- This is a part-time position 28 hours per fortnight, located in Merredin.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience supporting both children and adults in community settings.
- Skilled in planning and delivering group-based programs or activities.
- Culturally competent with the ability to engage diverse individuals and families.
- A valid 'C' class driver's licence and National Police Clearance.
- National Disability Clearance Check and Working with Children Check.
