The Role

We are seeking an experienced Claims Advisor to join our Workers' Compensation Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in achieving our workers' compensation and injury claims management goals, particularly within the QLD self-insurance scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage claims portfolios in compliance with legislation and license requirements.
  • Provide advice on workers' compensation entitlements.
  • Process weekly compensation entitlements.
  • Educate managers and staff on workers' compensation and injury management.
  • Accurately record claims and documentation in the claims management system.
  • Facilitate discussions with Rehabilitation Advisors to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and relationships with stakeholders.
  • Support general well-being initiatives and perform related admin tasks.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven end-to-end claims case management experience, ideally in QLD workers' comp.
  • Qualifications or equivalent experience in case management.
  • Effective time management and coordination skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Experience in self-insurance schemes is highly regarded.
