About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team, supporting the design, development, and implementation of our safety management system and well-being initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to maintaining the highest safety levels for employees and customers.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation, standards, and codes of practice. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to build and maintain effective relationships, analyse safety data, and provide technical support for safety operations.

Responsibilities
  • Design and update safety management systems to ensure compliance with health, safety, and well-being standards.
  • Analyse safety data to identify and manage risks related to incidents, injuries, and well-being.
  • Provide technical support for safety operations, ensuring adherence to legislation and standards.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and review of health and safety systems and policies.
  • Conduct site visits to engage with stakeholders and ensure the effectiveness of safety systems.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to upskill staff in risk assessment and hazard management.
  • Support the implementation of projects focused on enhancing safety culture and holistic well-being.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in health and safety.
  • Qualifications or experience in Psychology or psychosocial safety systems.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to provide workplace safety advice in a customer-focused environment.
  • Effective project and time management skills.
