Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) professional to join our team in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. As an OHS Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe working environment for our employees and customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Safety Management System: Design, develop, and implement effective safety management systems to ensure compliance with health, safety, and well-being standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Analyse safety data to identify and manage risks related to incidents, injuries, and well-being.
  • Tech Support: Provide technical support for safety operations and ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
  • Policy Review: Assist in reviewing and updating health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits to engage with stakeholders and ensure the effectiveness of safety systems.
  • Training: Develop and deliver training programs to upskill staff in risk assessment and hazard management.
  • Culture Enhancement: Support projects focused on enhancing safety culture and holistic well-being.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in OHS.
  • Qualifications or experience in Psychology or psychosocial safety systems.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in creating safety management systems.
  • Proven ability to provide workplace safety advice in a customer-focused environment.
  • Effective relationship-building with stakeholders through strong communication skills.
  • Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
