About us
We are a chocolate café with over 20 years of experience in delivering our unique creations to consumers. We have built an international footprint across the Australian and New Zealand markets, with 25 stores and counting.
Our vision is to continue growing and expanding our business, bringing the Max Brenner taste and experience to guests every time they visit one of our stores.
Everyone in our team is unique and can make their mark at our café. Our people are our priority, focusing on developing talent from within.

The Role
As a Café Manager, a day in your life will include:
- Managing daily operations and running the store, including cleanliness and presentation.
- Planning and executing the store, including rosters and marketing promotions.
- Leading by example and driving team members to deliver memorable guest service and experience.
- Managing people-related tasks, including recruitment, training, and development, coaching, feedback, and performance management.
- Delivering on set sales targets and managing labour spend, stock levels, and other controllable expenses.
- Building morale and team spirit by fostering a work environment where team member input is encouraged and valued.
- Ensuring all our golden standards are upheld at all times.
- Managing, preparing, and serving dessert menu items, including our famous Tutti Frutti Waffles, Chocolate Fondue, and decadent Pizzas, to the highest standard.
- Managing, preparing, and serving delicious drinks, including coffees, hot chocolates, and decadent milkshakes, to the highest standard.
You
To be successful as a Café Manager, you will have:
- Previous management experience of minimum 2 years is essential.
- Previous hospitality or retail experience is essential.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to lead and effectively communicate with a team.
- Energetic, positive, and guest-focused with a can-do attitude.
- Passion for hospitality and love the energy that the industry brings.
- Enjoy creating memorable experiences for all guests.
- Driven to provide exceptional guest service at all times.
