Job Overview

Category Manager

As a Category Manager, you will drive an industry-leading product portfolio that gives us a competitive edge.

You will be responsible for managing stakeholder relationships across the supply chain, including domestic and international suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure category portfolios are customer-led and provide a distinct competitive advantage through regular range reviews and new product opportunities
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, negotiating commercial terms
  • Drive product innovation and development, managing products from concept to launch, collaborating with key stakeholders to bring ideas to life
  • Develop industry relationships to stay exposed to ongoing innovation and disruption
  • Provide reporting and insights on category portfolios using Excel and Power BI; analyze results to update on trends and other impacts
  • Develop procurement plans that enable efficient supply of products
  • Keep the customer at the heart of every decision, helping build long-term relationships with customers
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar category management role; related experience in retail, procurement, supply chain, and marketing will be considered
  • Experience working in a B2B environment (trade/distribution customers) is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge, and the ability to present and engage audiences
  • A positive, can-do attitude with an inquisitive nature and desire to understand the business and products
  • Strong relationship-building skills; you will work with multiple stakeholders within the business and with external vendors and suppliers
  • Good Excel and Power BI skills
