Job Description

The Senior Change Engagement Officer leads and coordinates consistent, accurate and best practice change, communication and engagement activities for schools and corporate strategic projects in alignment with the Department's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate finance change, engagement and communications activities to support enhanced financial support services for all education stakeholders.
  • Design, develop and implement communications resource materials to enable high-quality, accurate and engaging content and communications across multiple media channels.
  • Establish and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and build commitment and engagement in the delivery of change initiatives.
  • Provide sound advice and recommendations on innovative best practice communication and engagement methodologies and tools to support evidence-based decision making.
  • Monitor, review and evaluate the content and impact of communications and engagements to identify opportunities for enhancement in line with the department's commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Prepare evidence-based materials, briefings, reports, presentations and other correspondence to ensure timely and informed stakeholder communications and engagements.
  • Identify emerging change, communication and engagement issues and priorities and develop recommendations to address their potential impact and mitigate associated risks.
Essential Requirements
  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check).
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
  • Extensive experience in engagement and communications, specifically relating to organisational change and reform.
