Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join our client's team in Leeds, West Yorkshire. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of engineers, ensuring the smooth operation of production lines, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of 3 engineers and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Schedule planned preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure maximum productivity.
  • Mentor and develop your team members to improve their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct fault finding and repair electrical and mechanical components.
  • Replace parts like for like and ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Ensure that permit to work is in place and adhered to, ensuring the safety of contractors and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Recognised electrical or mechanical qualification (apprenticeship, NVQ level 3, BTEC, ONC, C&G, HNC, HND).
  • Ability to fault find with a multi-meter and swap out components.
  • Experience of working within an FMCG, Food, or manufacturing environment.
  • Positive can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
