Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Shift Team Leader to oversee a team of engineers, ensuring the smooth operation of planned and reactive maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering, with experience in fault finding and component replacement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of 3 engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the team is working efficiently and effectively.
  • Schedule planned preventative maintenance, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Mentor and develop team members, helping them to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure permit to work is in place and adhered to, guaranteeing a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
  • Perform reactive and planned maintenance tasks, including fault finding and component replacement.

Requirements:

  • Recognised electrical or mechanical qualification (apprenticeship, NVQ level 3, BTEC, ONC, C&G, HNC, HND).
  • Experience of working within an FMCG, Food, or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to fault find with a multi-meter and swap out components.
  • Positive can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
