About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our growing team at Orica Digital Solutions' Orebody Intelligence Division. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, designing and refining electronic systems that are at the heart of our groundbreaking measurement equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing novel geophysical logging instrumentation and carrier platforms;
- Contribute to the development of downhole geophysical tools;
- Managing the full lifecycle of all designs, including feasibility studies, concept designs, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and support;
- Research into new sensor, packaging, material, and design technologies;
- Providing technical expertise to team members across a range of projects;
- Inspection and testing of electronic components and assemblies to ensure they meet design specifications;
- Carry out assembly and repairs of prototypes and early release equipment as required;
- Provide design, manufacturing, and maintenance documentation;
- Participation in field trials and provision of technical support for new products;
- Write and deploy necessary work instructions and procedures.
Requirements
- Degree qualified with a minimum 5 years' experience;
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering in relevant field – electronics;
- Expertise in analogue and digital circuit design, CAD and a range of simulation software;
- Experience with fast ADC, MCA and general digital signal processing;
- Experience with controllers and firmware design;
- Be physically fit and healthy as the job requires.
