About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing geophysical instrumentation and carrier systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing novel geophysical logging instrumentation and carrier platforms;
  • Contribute to the development of downhole geophysical tools;
  • Manage the full lifecycle of all designs, including feasibility studies, concept designs, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and support;
  • Research into new sensor, packaging, material, and design technologies;
  • Provide technical expertise to team members across a range of projects;
  • Inspect and test electronic components and assemblies to ensure they meet design specifications;
  • Carry out assembly and repairs of prototypes and early release equipment as required;
  • Provide design, manufacturing, and maintenance documentation;
  • Participate in field trials and provide technical support for new products;
  • Write and deploy necessary work instructions and procedures.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified with a minimum 5-10 years' experience;
  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering in a relevant field – electronics;
  • Expertise in analogue and digital circuit design, CAD, and a range of simulation software;
  • Experience with fast ADC, MCA, and general digital signal processing;
  • Experience with controllers and firmware design;
  • Be physically fit and healthy as the job requires.
