About the RoleWe're excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team at Orica Digital Solutions' Orebody Intelligence Division. As part of our pioneering team, you'll have the chance to shape the future of mining by developing the next generation of geophysics tools.
Key Responsibilities- Design, prototype, test, and manufacture geophysical instrumentation and carrier systems;
- Develop precision electronic circuitry and assemblies that control and operate industry-changing technology;
- Contribute to the development of downhole geophysical tools;
- Manage the full lifecycle of designs, including feasibility studies, concept designs, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and support;
- Research new sensor, packaging, material, and design technologies;
- Provide technical expertise to team members across a range of projects;
- Inspect and test electronic components and assemblies to ensure they meet design specifications;
- Assemble and repair prototypes and early release equipment as required;
- Provide design, manufacturing, and maintenance documentation;
- Participate in field trials and provide technical support for new products;
- Write and deploy necessary work instructions and procedures.
- Degree qualified with a minimum 5-10 years' experience;
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering in a relevant field – electronics;
- Expertise in analogue and digital circuit design, CAD, and a range of simulation software;
- Experience with fast ADC, MCA, and general digital signal processing;
- Experience with controllers and firmware design;
- Be physically fit and healthy as the job requires.
