About the Role:

Overview: As the Commercial Manager at Hassett, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's commercial strategy. You will oversee the entire proposal and tender process, develop and implement pricing strategies, and drive continuous improvements in sales processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Bid Management: Take charge of the end-to-end process of preparing, submitting, and managing proposals and tenders. Ensure that all bids are well-structured, persuasive, and meet client requirements. Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and create high-quality content.
  2. Pricing Strategy: Develop and manage pricing submissions, maintain a fixed pricing regime, and implement strategic pricing policies. Conduct regular pricing reviews and drive value-based pricing strategies to enhance profitability.
  3. Sales Process Improvement: Oversee the integrity and functionality of the salesforce system, ensuring data accuracy and reporting efficiency. Identify and implement improvements to streamline the sales process and enhance overall performance.
  4. Client Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their needs, participate in client meetings, and leverage feedback to refine proposals and strategies.
  5. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands. Use market intelligence to tailor bid strategies and differentiate proposals from competitors.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  2. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing, bid management, or a related area. Proven track record in managing multiple projects and delivering high-quality proposals.
  3. Skills: Strong project management capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and advanced proficiency in analytical tools like MS Excel. Familiarity with proposal management tools is advantageous.
  4. Attributes: Detail-oriented with the ability to produce error-free work under tight deadlines. Strong strategic thinking skills and a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and clients.
