About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to stakeholders, including project managers and clients.
  • Collaborate with project staff to prepare cost reports and forecasts in their areas of responsibility.
  • Liaise with clients and project teams to resolve contractual matters.
  • Monitor and control project costs, working closely with project managers and engineering staff.
  • Implement and manage company management systems, including cost reporting, purchasing, and procurement contract management.
  • Prepare variation pricing and claims for extension of time, including delay and disruption costs.
  • Manage procurement on the project, including major subcontracts and supply agreements.
Requirements
  • Tertiary degree in Commerce, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
  • Relevant experience as a Commercial Manager or similar position in the Civil or Mining sector, with main roads/infrastructure exposure.
  • Substantial experience in financial cost reporting, including cost control and forecasting of revenue and costs.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
