About The Role

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for providing accurate and timely commercial advice and support services to the team and the broader organisation. This will involve:

  • Supporting the Deputy Director Commercial and General Counsel in all commercial advice and activities related to project planning, development, procurement, and delivery of commercial projects.
  • Coordinating the procurement of development, consulting, operations, and maintenance-related contracts, managing the tendering process, evaluation, and selection of suppliers, and contractual negotiations.
  • Providing expert commercial advice to ensure optimised commercial terms and contract conditions that manage our client's risk.
  • Administering contracts associated with the delivery and future operation of commercial projects.
  • Providing support in respect of our client's financial modeling workstream to support executive financial forecasting and decision-making.
  • Identifying and developing commercial and financial opportunities to help shape the long-term vision and achieve strategic goals.
  • Developing and drafting contractual and procurement documentation, preparing briefs and providing ad hoc commercial advice.
  • Managing external commercial resources in collaboration with the Deputy Director Commercial and General Counsel.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in Commerce and/or Law.
  • Infrastructure Project Management experience.
  • Understanding of government decision-making processes.
  • Contract Management experience.
