Chief Practitioner of Compulsory Acquisition

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Land Rights, Disputes and Advisory practice.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who possesses significant practising experience in compulsory acquisition, including litigation. The ideal candidate will have excellent case analysis and practice management skills, with a strong drive to develop business development activities and drive growth within the team.
Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise lawyers and support staff conducting a compulsory acquisition practice;
- Contribute to skills development within the team, including leading training sessions;
- Collaborate with other parts of the practice to support work and client acquisition in those areas;
- Maintain and build new client relationships to drive business development activities and expand the practice;
- Manage a file load effectively;
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to hold their trust throughout their matters;
- Develop and maintain relationships with expert witnesses critical to our client's claims such as valuers, town planners and forensic accountants;
- Negotiate with authorities to progress and resolve matters;
- Conduct litigation in appropriate matters;
- Provide clear, practical and concise legal and commercial advice;
- Deliver exceptional service to clients.
