We are currently seeking a seasoned lawyer to lead the development of our compulsory acquisition practice.

About the Role
  • As a Senior Associate, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in compulsory acquisition, litigation, and business development to drive growth and innovation within the team.
  • The ideal candidate will possess 6+ years post-admission experience, with a proven track record of success in compulsory acquisition and planning, as well as significant litigation experience.
  • You will be responsible for supervising a team of lawyers and support staff, developing skills and knowledge through training and CPDs, and collaborating with other teams to support client acquisition and work.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise the management of a file load, including conducting research, analysis, and negotiations with Acquiring Authorities.
  • Maintain and build new client relationships through exceptional service and expert advice.
  • Negotiate with Acquiring Authorities to progress and resolve matters, ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes for clients.
  • Conduct litigation in appropriate matters, providing clear and concise legal and commercial advice to clients.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior lawyers, promoting a culture of learning and professional development within the team.
