Job Title: Support Worker
To support individuals in achieving independence and improving their quality of life. This includes assisting with daily living activities, promoting choice and dignity, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist with hygiene, dressing, toileting, and mobility as needed.
- Daily Living Support: Help with tasks such as cooking, cleaning, shopping.
- Health & Wellbeing: Support with medication, attending medical appointments, and promoting healthy lifestyles.
- Emotional Support: Offer companionship, build positive relationships, and support emotional wellbeing.
- Community Engagement: Encourage participation in social, educational, and recreational activities.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of care provided, incidents, and progress notes.
- Safeguarding: Follow safeguarding policies to protect individuals from abuse or harm.
Essential Skills & Qualities:
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Respectful of confidentiality and diversity
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate III of individual support
- Experience supporting vulnerable individuals
