Lifestyle Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Lifestyle Program Coordinator, where they will be responsible for creating engaging experiences for our residents.

About the Position

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality programs that cater to the individual needs and preferences of our residents. This is a full-time leadership position that requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Develop and implement high-quality lifestyle programs that promote physical, intellectual, emotional, cultural, and social well-being among residents.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate the delivery of activities and events, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for residents and staff alike.
  • Lifestyle Assessments: Conduct comprehensive lifestyle assessments of residents, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance their overall well-being.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident participation and engagement, providing valuable insights for future program development.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and coach the lifestyle team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Orientation and Training: Support the orientation and training of new team members and volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and volunteers, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A thorough understanding of leisure and lifestyle programming and aged care quality standards.
  • A Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a lifestyle assistant/coordinator position or similar role.
  • Previous experience working with older adults, preferably in a dementia care setting.
  • Proficiency in using computerized care management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
