Lifestyle Assistant Position

Are you looking for a career that truly makes a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a Lifestyle Assistant to work in our residential home, supporting the implementation of creative and engaging lifestyle programs that enhance the well-being of our residents.

About the Role:

  • You will assist with the provision of recreational and social programs that meet the needs and accreditation standards of our residents.
  • Support the orientation of new team members and ensure accurate recording of resident information.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of our residents and their families.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities that provide choice and enrich their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work collaboratively with the lifestyle coordinator to develop and implement lifestyle plans that cater to individual resident needs.
  2. Assist with program development, implementation, and evaluation to ensure high-quality services.
  3. Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  4. Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, progress, and outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualification in community development, recreation, or disability studies (e.g., Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure).
  • Demonstrated understanding of leisure and lifestyle programming and aged care quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and within a team environment.
