Reservations Coordinator Role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Reservations Coordinator.

This role is ideal for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Reservations: You will be responsible for managing all reservation requests via phone, email, and online platforms using booking systems efficiently.
  • Build Guest Relationships: Build strong guest relationships, especially with VIPs and return guests, noting preferences, dietary needs, and special occasions.
  • Optimize Table Allocation: Optimize table allocation and guest flow across venues through proactive reservation management.
  • Guest Communications: Send timely confirmations, follow-ups, and pre-arrival communications.
  • Venue Knowledge: Stay informed on venue offerings, menus, hours, promotions, and seasonal events.
  • Guest Complaints: Address and resolve guest complaints promptly, escalating when necessary.
  • Reservation Systems: Maintain expert knowledge of reservation systems and ensure accurate guest records.
  • Waitlists and Cancellations: Manage waitlists and cancellations, offering alternatives to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.
  • Team Training: Assist with training new team members on reservation procedures.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • Hospitality Experience: You will have hospitality experience in a luxury hotel or fine-dining establishment with strong organizational skills - managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, pre-opening environment, adapting to evolving needs and challenges.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with POS and reservation systems such as SevenRooms and Micros Simphony is highly advantageous.
  • Availability: Able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications:

  • A Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or willingness to obtain one.
