About Our Project:

The M1 South - Blackhill to Tomago project is a 10-kilometre dual carriageway motorway extension between Black Hill and Tomago, featuring eight bridges, including a 2.6km viaduct over the Hunter River and over 1.3m3 cut and fill of Earthworks.

Job Overview:

This is a Tier 1 engineering role based in Tarro, approximately 30 minutes from Newcastle CBD, where you will coordinate on-site construction engineering activities and drive project success.

This is a permanent opportunity for six to eight months with plans to transfer onto another project thereafter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with our Projects Engineering and Supervisory team to ensure timely delivery of programme requirements
  • Contribute significantly to managing project Quality Systems, including inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keeping
  • Develop and implement planning & programming strategies
  • Assist with procurement & supplier management
  • Evaluate compliance of works undertaken in relation to technical specifications, legislation, approvals, and standards, focusing on risk management.
Requirements for Success:
  • Proven experience working on large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
  • Degree-qualified Civil Engineer with at least three years post-graduate experience.
  • Understanding of contemporary practices in construction methodology on civil infrastructure projects.
  • Effective communicator able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Able to deliver results under tight deadlines.
