Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our growth and expansion efforts. As the Head of Growth and Expansion, you will be responsible for building and growing our accounting channel as a standalone growth channel for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). You will own the creation and execution of the growth strategy, including a new go-to-market (GTM) strategy for the channel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for the accounting channel, including market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation.
- Lead a team of business development managers (BDMs) and relationship managers to drive acquisition through the accountant's client base.
- Direct revenue responsibility and drive performance across several qualitative and quantitative metrics, including profit, revenue, cost, new dealing clients, active clients, product penetration, and portfolio growth.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business partners, including accountants and other industry professionals.
- Work closely with product and other key stakeholders to provide feedback and ideas to continuously improve on the customer value proposition (CVP) and processes for the target market.
- Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team, including leadership and technical development.
- Manage sales cycles, sales pipelines, and sales operating rhythms specifically for partnerships.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of OFX's product offerings and value propositions, particularly SaaS products, and account payable and billing processes.
- Represent OFX externally in the market and establish the company as a thought leader in the industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Business, Finance, Accounting, or other related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification preferred but not essential.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in payments and selling SaaS solutions into accounting professional services channels.
- Strong business development and relationship management skills.
- Highly networked in the industry and able to represent OFX externally.
- Strong strategic skills, including the ability to develop channel strategies for the target market.
- Extensive understanding of OFX's product offerings and value propositions.
- Strong evidence of managing multiple stakeholders to deliver effective business outcomes.
- 5+ years of experience in leading sales/relationship management teams and coaching and developing staff.
- Strong sales management skills, including experience with sales systems and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised with a high level of self-motivation and handle competing priorities.
- Experience in leading significant business transformation.
