**Overview of Microsoft's SONiC Team**

We are redefining the nature of software in the network by writing software that runs on switches and building massive distributed systems to control Microsoft's Cloud Datacenters.

The SONiC team is seeking a world-class Software Development Engineer to help us build high-quality software using a game-changing development model: Test Driven Development (TDD), which eventually leads to Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD).

**Responsibilities**

  • Develop and automate software system testing for all code to ensure quality.
  • Independently design and plan tests to ensure the quality of SONiC image and test cases.
  • Triage test case failures and drive them through resolution.
  • Fix or improve existing test cases and ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of test cases and test infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with SONiC team members and external partners for end-to-end systems qualification and validation.
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) in monitoring system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions for simple problems, and recommend actions to restore system/product/service by following the playbook.

**Estimated Salary:** $120,000 - $180,000 per year based on experience and location. This salary range is competitive and reflects the skills and qualifications required for this role.
