We are seeking a highly skilled Datacenter Engineering Planner and Scheduler to join our Global Project Controls team at Microsoft.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and analyzing integrated engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) schedules for large-scale datacenter projects in Sydney. This role requires excellent project planning skills, earned value management expertise, and proficiency in Oracle P6 project planning software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) including timelines and dependencies for large-scale datacenter construction projects.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time.
  • Monitor project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure project outcomes meet their expectations.
  • Provide schedule analysis and reporting support to project teams.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field, AND 10+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in planning medium-sized capital projects in data center, oil and gas, or chemicals industries.
  • Excellent understanding of project planning, earned value management, and key commodity tracking.
  • Proficiency in Oracle P6 project planning software.
  • Familiarity with risk schedule analysis.
Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
