Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join our NSW team based in the Illawarra region. This role involves managing the document management system (Aconex) for a large health project in a collaborative team environment.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Ensuring Compliance – Proactively driving company safety policies, practices, and procedures in compliance with OH&S legislative requirements to provide a safe workplace at all times.
- Quality and Safety Management – Ensuring compliance with the Company Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Policies and procedures.
- Project Administration Support – Providing general project administration support to the team as required.
- Document Management – Managing all incoming and outgoing documents, logging, distribution, filing, and archiving of documents and drawings received. Maintaining registers including materials registers, drawing registers, and files.
- QA Coordination and Control – Controlling all project documentation using industry-standard systems. Assisting with QA coordination and document control – ensuring records are kept and administered in accordance with the project QA plan.
- Reporting – Preparing monthly and other reports as required.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Industry Experience – Previous experience within the building and construction industry or a similar industry.
- Administrative Skills – Competency in basic administrative and secretarial skills including preparation of general correspondence, filing, and document control, minute taking, and office management.
- Software Proficiency – Intermediate level of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and ability and willingness to learn new software packages as required.
- Organizational Skills – High level of organizational and time management skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
- Teamwork and Communication – Ability to work effectively and co-operatively within a team environment and demonstrate a positive approach and outlook in the workplace.
- Communication and Relationship Building – Ability to communicate, influence, and build effective relationships at all levels of the business.
- Results-Oriented – Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
