Portfolio Manager Job Description

As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the investment strategy and performance of fixed income portfolios. This involves monitoring portfolio compliance with mandate guidelines, risk profile, and investment objectives.

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive fixed income investment strategy across multiple portfolios;
  • Evaluating portfolio performance and attribution;
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure effective implementation of investment decisions;
  • Providing insights and recommendations to clients on portfolio activity and performance.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field;
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in asset management or a financial services firm, with expertise in fixed income markets;
  • Excellent knowledge of macroeconomics, fixed income strategies, and Australian fixed income markets;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
