Job Opportunity

This role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of a leading financial services provider. The Associate - Fixed Income position is based in Sydney and supports the Fixed Income division, which provides access to fixed income opportunities and delivers quality service and outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Relationship Management: Manage a book of clients and their fixed income requirements; provide outstanding advice and client service to predominantly Wholesale Private Clients; expand the client base through Fixed Income and external relationships.
  • Client Experience and Portfolio Management: Portfolio construction and ongoing management to meet client requirements; prepare trading ideas or relative value opportunities; align with client needs and investment objectives.
  • Sales and Growth: Achieve personal sales budgets; contribute to team budgets; collaborate with FIIG Research and Strategy on trade ideas and portfolio construction; drive revenue through new client acquisition and existing client growth.
  • Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients; meet yearly acquisition targets; build robust referral channels; leverage networks to raise brand awareness.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure exceptional client service, accurate execution and settlement, and use CRM and sales processes to maintain client understanding of requirements.
  • Leadership: Lead by example and share experience with the team.
About You / Qualifications
  • Required Skills and Qualifications: RG146 Accreditation; degree in finance, mathematics, or a quantitative discipline; experience in private wealth investments or financial markets.
  • Key Attributes: Energetic, confident, entrepreneurial, with strong business acumen; ability to work autonomously and as part of a team; high achievement orientation and personal accountability.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong communication, delegation, and ability to manage junior staff; proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
