Portfolio Management Opportunities

We are seeking an experienced investment professional to join our Australian fixed income investment team as a Portfolio Manager.

The key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Translation, implementation and monitoring of fixed income investment strategies across multiple portfolios;
  • Monitoring of portfolios for compliance with mandate guidelines, risk profiles and investment objectives;
  • Evaluation of portfolio performance and attribution;
  • Assistance with input regarding portfolio activity to client reports and other communications.

As a member of the team, you will participate in strategy meetings and be expected to have knowledge of financial market drivers and economic developments relevant to interest rates and fixed income markets more generally.

Your Team

You will work as a member of the Australian Fixed Income team in Sydney, Australia. Our team manages institutional and wholesale client assets across a range of different fixed income mandates.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related disciplines; CFA and/or Masters degree beneficial;
  • At least years' experience in asset management or a financial services firm with exposure to fixed income and derivatives markets;
  • Excellent knowledge of macroeconomics and fixed income strategies particularly Australian fixed income strategies;
  • Strong attention to detail, numeracy and ability to work to deadlines;
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and written communication of a reasonably technical nature;
  • Ability to assimilate information from multiple sources and a deep interest in investment markets;
  • Quantitative/programming skills advantageous.
